Betty May Smith, 83, of Lemont, died Sunday August 20, 2017 at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg.

She was born Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Fred and Adeline Wian Walker and raised by her guardians, Paul and Mary Wian Shuey.

On June 2, 1951, in Croydon, PA; she married Earl R. Smith, who preceded her in death, January 25, 2016.

Surviving Mrs. Smith are five daughters, Linda McCall (Philip Keith), Boalsburg, Bonnie Tkach (Thomas) Chandler, AZ, Dennis Smith (Barb), Towson MD, Stacy Smith, Stormstown, and Connie Smith, Osprey, FL; eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, guardians and husband she was preceded in death by a son Donald Regan “Ricky” Smith. Betty was the last member of her generation

All services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin St. #206, State College, PA 16803
