Obituary for Warner G. Huss

Warner G.  Huss
Warner G. Huss, 86, of Mechanicsburg, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Elmcroft in Dillsburg.

He was born December 8, 1930 at Newport; a son of the late George and Sylvia Kiner Huss.

Mr. Huss served in the U. S. Army and the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict; earning the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Air Force; and earning a National Defense Service Medal.

Early in life Mr. Huss was trained and worked as a barber, and later worked for Smith Wesson Gun Manufacturing Company in Mass. Much of his life he worked at Appleton Paper, retiring from the maintenance division.

He loved animals especially dogs.

Surviving Mr. Huss is a sister Dixie L. Schwab of Dillsburg, and her husband John; a niece Tracy Stout and a nephew Kent Smith; and an aunt Betty Raffenberger.

Following his wishes all services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area, 7190 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
