Lorena A. Mazer (Hebrank)
Lorena A. Mazer, 86, of State College, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Juniper Village at Brookline.
Born January 24, 1930 in Jeannette, PA she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Viola (Buck) Hebrank.
On August 1, 1953, in Somerset she married Dr. Homer F. Mazer, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2011.
Lorena was a graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon and taught school in various communities. Lorena also worked at the Pattee Library at Penn State for eight years.
Mrs. Mazer was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Circle group. She was also a member of several Women’s Social groups in her earlier years. She enjoyed painting, drawing, arranging flowers, doing crafts and playing cards. She loved RV traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Mark Mazer of Phillipsburg, NJ, Joel Mazer (Laura) of Leesburg, VA, and Neal Mazer (Cindy) of Warriors Mark; one daughter, Amy Wheeler (John) of Frederick, MD; seven grandchildren, Alaina and Erin Wheeler, Kara, Eric, Spencer, Chloe and Ellie Mazer; one sister, Carole Gordon (Jack) of Reading; and one brother, Jim Hebrank (Barbara) of Greensburg, PA.
Family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 1:00-1:30 PM at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1:30 PM with the Pastor Greg Milinovich officiating. Entombment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the Brookline staff and Home Nursing Agency Hospice for all the care and support that was given to Lorena.
