Obituary for Margaret Susan ""Susan"" Cole (Pierce)

Margaret Susan ""Susan"" Cole (Pierce)
Margaret “Susan” Cole passed away October 7, 2016 at home surrounded by her family who loved her deeply. Susan loved her family and was the best advice giver you would have ever wanted to know. She loved God and her church, her bible studies, and was always participating in multiple prayer chains. With her patience and her loving support she was the foundation of the Cole family. She had a passion for learning and enjoyed reading. The old saying is “that the eyes are the windows to the soul”. That means a camera is a vessel that captures what a person’s soul is most passionate about, her passion was the Percheron draft horse. Susan was half of the driving force to start Pennwoods Percherons. Susan was very active in the day to day operations of the farm, the breeding, foaling and just the true love for the Percheron horse.
Susan is survived by her loving husband John M. Cole whom she was married to for 63 short years. Also surviving are her children, Christopher Cole (Barbara), Kelly Benner (Randy), Chad Cole (Rhonda), Yung Mi (Amanda) Cole. Many grandchildren, Ben, Kylie, Jamie, Amber, Samantha, Phil, John, Timothy, Pierce, Jordan and Austin and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son William Cole.
Susan was born April 1, 1935 to Clare William and Helen M. Pierce. Her beloved sister Kathryn (Kitty) Long (Nevin) also survives and was by her side to the very end. Susan was a great woman, wife, parent and caretaker of the world. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from 10 am to 1pm, Saturday October 15, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA; the funeral will follow immediately at 1 pm at the church, with the Reverend David Hersh, officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Grane Hospice 106 Zee Plaza, North Juniata St. Hollidaysburg, PA, PA 16648
