Ronald N. "Ron"  Yost
Ronald N. Yost (Ron) passed from this life on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA. Lovingly, at his side was Evelyn his wife of 52 years and his daughter Cynthia.

Ronald was born in Lock Haven, PA June 6, 1935 and was the foster son of Le Roy and Gwendolyn Wagner of Spring Mills who preceded him in death.

In 1953 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at Fort Bragg, N.C. where he attended jet mechanic school receiving accreditation. He was promoted to the U.S. Air Force 82nd Airborne Division where he served as crew chief. He was also a member the US Air Force Honor Guard. After honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force he was employed at Cerro Metal Products, Bellefonte, PA for 34 Years retiring in 2000.

On October 14, 1964 he married Evelyn Emery Yost his soul mate of 52 years who survives at home. Also, a daughter Cynthia Anne Yost and life partner Dennis Marro of Seattle, WA. And foster sister Emma Jane Singley, Reedsville, PA. Along with his foster parents Ron was preceded in death by his brother Donald Warner Yost who served in the U.S. Navy and his sister-in-law Hazel Emery.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a UAW Union lifetime member.

Ron enjoyed fishing, working on the lawn and flower beds. He was an avid football fan and especially liked watching Penn State games on TV.

He had a special love of animals and this love was returned by his pets, two dogs Greta and Mindy, deceased and Buffy and Spookie, surviving cats that will miss him dearly.

Also, he worked in Emery’s Market, the family’s store where he made many friends and always had a smile and greeting for everyone. His smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by family, neighbors and many friends.

With respect to his wishes a formal visitation will not be held. A welcome for friends will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 1:00-2:00pm with a service at 2:00, at Mark D Heintzelman Funeral Home, 226 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall, PA 16828. The Reverend Mark Messner will be officiating. Interment will take place with full military honors in accord at Centre County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to The Colon Cancer Alliance Research, 1020 Vermont Ave, Suite 1066, Washington D.C 20005 or Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall, PA 16828 PO Box 292.
